Quick answer
To clean and store a portable steam sauna, let it cool, wipe damp surfaces, empty and dry the steam generator according to the instructions, allow the tent to fully air out, then fold and store it only when dry. Moisture management is the whole game.

Why cleaning matters
Portable steam saunas are convenient, but steam creates moisture. If you fold and store a damp tent, odors and material issues can follow. A simple routine keeps the unit easier to use long term.
Basic cleanup steps
- Turn the unit off and let it cool.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the steam generator.
- Wipe the interior surfaces with a clean towel.
- Let the tent air dry fully.
- Dry the chair and floor mat if included.
- Fold only after everything is dry.
Apartment drying tip
If you live in an apartment, choose a spot with ventilation. A bathroom fan, open door, or nearby airflow can help the tent dry more completely.
Storage tips
Keep the tent, chair, hose, and generator together so setup does not become a scavenger hunt. If the product includes a storage bag, use it only after everything is dry.
What to avoid
Do not use harsh cleaning chemicals unless the manufacturer recommends them. Do not immerse electrical components. Do not pack the sauna away wet.
